Yoga For Mental Health Nanaimo

A local community offering local to Nanaimo.

No prior Yoga experience required.

Bridging the connection between mind and body for optimal wellness.

Yoga for Mental Health is a gentle, trauma-informed community class designed to support both emotional wellbeing and physical balance. Guided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor, this class weaves together somatic therapy principles with traditional yoga postures to help participants reconnect with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and build resilience from the inside out.

RCC. RYT. 

Jessica has been a grateful student of Yoga for over 20 years, and a Pilates/ fitness and Yoga Instructor for over 10 years. Her current occupation as a Registered Clinical Counsellor allows her to pursue her passion of helping others through talk therapy.

Merging somatic therapy approaches with Yoga can reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety and improves mental cognition and emotional wellbeing.

 

In this offering of Yoga For Mental Health, Jessica blends traditional Yoga Asanas (poses) with somatic therapy techniques, sound healing and verbal discussion of healthy strategies and practices to create awareness of physical and mental balance, using a carefully cultivated balance of sound, movement and psychotherapy.
